I looked for different design options for the barrel but decided to go for a simple clean and stylish design to add more details to it later.

Basic lighting assignment

For this assignment I searched for interesting lightings reference and tried to recreate them in UE without using Lumen. Used only one of the models provided by Nicholas Zuccarello and set it on three different lightings to see the changes.

For the first one I used two strong lights to the sides and a softer one to the front side of the statue.



For the second I used two red light at the back of the statue, one on top and the other to the back of it. A Blue light just bellow the chin.



For the last one I put a strong light right above the statue and a softer red one bellow the chin.




The 'PlanatReflection' helps to get more real looking reflections in unreal. The floor has a reflective material and so, on recommendation I added it to my scene and gave better reflections of the statue's in the floor.
To be able to use the 'PlanarReflection' is necessary to enable 'Support global clip plane for Planar Reflections' in the project settings and restart the program again.

Lego Millennium Falcon High Quality Rendering UE5

For this assignment I wanted to put the Lego Millennium Falcon flying on space.
I was not able to find a way to replicate the atmosphere effect with the sky atmosphere so I opted for the option of making a dome with an HDRI image. 

Created a sphere and added a emissive material to it. At some point I realize that the Directional Light did not pass through the sphere but found that by adding a SkyAtmosphereViewLuminance to the material it allows it.


I tweaked and played a little with the directional light and the post process and found that the bloom effect gave me a nice flare to the sun.

Silhouettes & thumbnails



For this assignment I redesigned toon Link in an eldritch style. One of my biggest concerns was keeping the essence of the character in the silhouette although I changed the hat which is a noticeable element of Link.
